Back in 2009, I burned a bunch of CD-R's for friends with my most recent songs, instrumentals, and experiments. Trouble is, the friends usually can't remember the title of the particular songs they liked, and they've long ago lost the standard green paper sleeve in which I packaged the disc. More confusing for me is the fact that I changed the tracklisting every time I burned one - sometimes with completely different songs depending on the tastes of the potential listener, because I am a sociopath.

So assembled here are - as well as I can recall - those tracks that ended up on the various CD-R's. Some tracks will be louder than others. A few were recorded with a PC, but most were committed directly to CD via my now dead JVC dual-disc deck, which allowed for overdubs. The sound quality ranges from hissy, unmixed improvisations to more blended, hi-fi productions, though in truth back then I knew even less than I do now about correct studio procedure.

The hope is that the common threads of the new Field Dress sound become more evident through hearing the older, more-scatterbrain stuff - back when I was attempting to build a lore surrounding the music, some kind of mystery element. (Whether or not it's noticeable here or ever in my music is the real mystery.)
